Texas Allied Petroleum Career Advice By Jon Ferraro

For all the time we spend at work, we ought to be able to find a career that not only satisfies the pocketbook, but one that satisfies the mind. This is where career counseling could be of tremendous help.

When you go for career counseling, you can get a wealth of information that will steer you toward the career that best fits your wants and needs. But what should you expect from career counseling, and how does it work? The first step is to meet with a professional employment counselor whose job it is to get to know you more as a person.

This is usually done through conducting a test or series of tests like a career assessment test, a Kiersey temperament scale test, or the typical career placement examination. These tests are specifically designed to help you discover the right career according to personality, talent and ability.

Upon completion of the test or tests, you should then have a list of possible career options. Once this is done, the career counselor can give you more information about the specific jobs in which you may be interested, and about any possible specific training or education you may want to get.

They can help you find and register for whatever classes you need, and they can even provide you with support services as you wend your way toward a new career. You will also learn a lot about job-hunting strategies like how to compile a really decent resume and how best to conduct an in personam interview. After all, you won’t get that dream job without creating just the right impression, will you?

And career counselors are a great resource because they already know just what to do in the first place. Since career counseling is a business, don’t expect that you will walk away from a counseling session scot free. But whenever a few is charged, it will probably be a pretty nominal one, and you might be able to pay it in installments if need be.

But if you’re stuck in a rut when it comes to finding a career, this money may be a very good investment indeed. Why? Because it can make the difference in being stuck in a nowhere job that you can’t stand and finding that golden opportunity you’ve always dreamed of.

Self-Improvement - Good Daily Habits Increase Motivation

Texas Allied Petroleum Motivation  By Kristina Von Rosenvinge

One of the best ways to motivate yourself is to review your daily habits. Are they helping you or hindering you? If there are changes that you want for to make and you are having trouble accomplishing them it could well be that your habits are keeping you stuck.

Daily habits that keep you focused and moving forward are the key to motivation. We all have habits that will drain energy instead of creating energy for us. A good solution is to choose habits that you find energizing and which add to your sense of well-being. If you have little energy to accomplish things that matter to you then you may well want to review your daily habits. For instance, if you are eating foods that drain energy learning about nutrition and what foods are energizing may just be what you need.

Develop habits that give you pleasure when you accomplish them. If it matters to you that your bed is made every day then you are much more apt to put that on your daily habit list. You want habits that will keep you motivated and focused on growing your personal and/or business life.

The benefits of picking habits that you want to do are that your routine tasks will be quickly accomplished since you will be more focused, have more energy, and like the way you feel. Create habits that enhance who you. Examples would be taking a daily walk, taking your vitamins, going to bed at a regular time, turning off the TV, reading, working in the garden, showing gratitude, or anything else that will make you feel good about the person you are.

What You Need to Know About Green Renewable Energy

By Marvin Dunn

As we grow in population, the consumption for electricity and power also increases and this should be enough to prompt inventors and engineers to come up with unconventional ways to resolve the impending energy crisis. One of the most admired innovations to the current methods of harnessing electricity is the use of green renewable electricity. You see, crude oil will take thousands of years to develop underground. Soon, we will run out of power sources based on crude oil and we are not likely to have gasoline anymore. This is why scientists are trying to find ways to harness energy form other natural resources such as the wind and geothermal energy.

When green renewable electricity is discussed, this mainly refers to energy sources that are not destructive. These energy sources are not harmful to the environment. On top of these, the process in harnessing the energy is not also harmful and does not require synthetic chemicals and materials. These are called green because they are environment-friendly and these types of energy do not emit carbon or any toxins that pollute the atmosphere. Most of the times, the sources or types of green renewable electricity are the wind energy, solar panel energy, and geothermal energy.

Practical sense will tell you that there is a vast amount of water in the world and this should be more than enough to harness energy. The same is true with the wind and the sun. These resources are free and they are renewable. The only biggest problem is how to harness these resources in a massive scale and distribute the energy in a commercial basis. Right now, the energy taken from these resources are only available for commercial use, provided that the household owners have their own mechanisms to do it. However, having these types of energy available for all people is still a dream yet to be made possible.

Solar Power From Space

By Denver K

Article recommended by Rabbi Yitzhak Miller

The space solar power concept is based on a theoretically simple to install solar panels in geostationary orbit and pass through a microwave or laser energy achieved at a ground station, then to distribute the net. The idea was raised in the 70’s of the twentieth century, but their high cost made it unfeasible. At present, the search for new and clean energy, before the coming end of oil, and the advancement of technology, make it interesting again.

Obtaining the benefits of solar energy from space have once again invited one to consider: is that light is almost around the clock, without the hindrance of clouds or bad weather, and able to get eight times more energy than terrestrial solar cells. According to a study by the Institute of Energy Research of the U.S., a km2 of solar panels in orbit in a year would receive more energy than all the known oil reserves.

Moreover, their claim that they like the terrestrial solar energy is a clean and inexhaustible source, in this case, flexible and secure because it would not be necessary complex intercontinental power grids and blackouts would be virtually nil, even in extreme conditions.

Therefore, several initiatives to demonstrate that it is a viable idea that needs more support. In United States, the Association for the development of this type of energy transmitted via microwave energy recently between the islands of Maui and Hawaii, 148 kilometers distant. Its chairman, John, this show looks to convince potential investors that they bear the almost 5,000 million euros to launch a pilot plant for between five and ten megawatts by 2018.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Space Agency (NASA) has a project with a budget of around four million euros in the deck system 23 different proposals to establish its economic viability. In the private sector, the California Space Island in India wants to test their satellite sites. Similarly, the International Space Station, whose completion date is scheduled for 2010, could be used to test for the first time this system.

Besides the U.S., other countries are also interested. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and the University Institute of Laser Engineering of Osaka in 2030 want to have a system of giant solar collectors in orbit capable of producing enough power for half a million homes. At the moment testing the transmission of microwave energy in the aerospace park in Hokkaido. For its part, the European Space Agency also takes years to study this system, also working with Japan. In 2004 began a feasibility study on potential technologies.

Last year, a consortium formed by the U.S. Department of Defense and a group of Swiss-German company reported on a project to test a solar energy system in the Palau Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
